i bought a puppy and notice that the ikc certificates states (not to be bred)?
as the title says ! before we bought the puppy the breader said she didnt want to register the pup because of a lot of puppy farms and the risk of people knowing her address which could lead to theft .we told her we wernt going to breed the pup but thought that after parting with such a large amount of money we would like some security of paper work etc.she did register the pup for us and posted the cert to us after reading it have noticed the words (not to be bred under endorsements)
feel tricked !!! i know i told her we wernt going to breed the pup but who knows in the future what might happen .is ther nothing we can do ? it is a beauitfull smothe coat chihuahua in white ,very small and would have had very good protential but this just leaves me with a sour taste in the mouth. btw its the irish kennel club
any body any ideas
i know what yous are saying is right in a sence
but this pup was nearly £900 not just a £150 pup
with that type of money you dont want your hands tied behind your back if you know what i mean. i have no intention of breeding this pup at the minute but who knows what happens in the future ???
i do seem to have a lot to learn !!!
but sorry dont seem to get it !
what makes me any different than the breader i bought from ,for all yous know i could breed dogs too. yous seem to back the breader all the way !dont for get the breader had to start somware too, bought two pups ,reared them and had pups now selling them for money, do yous think they sell pups for any thing else other than for money ? dont think so,granted they love there dogs like the rest of us,somebody else said it might be because its a cur or runt,no got the pup checked over and it has show dog qualitys (its father was showing at crufts last week )(big dog show in england)and i didnt sign anything to say i wasnt going to bread the pup,as stated before ,i have no intention of breading this pup but it was got for my daughter who has an allergy to animal hair and with this dog having very little hair and very little hair loss she is grand with it .but things change along with circumstances.
put it like this ,if you bought a car and later after you got the tax book found out there was a problem with it (damaged, missing engine etc)
do you not think you would feel a little annoyed.
thats the way i feel ,it was more of a figure of speach about not breeding the pup, never thought it would show up in the certificate !!
as said before ,i have a lot to learn.
i think i know why the certificate is marked, not to be bred ??? COMPETITION,scarcety makes these wee dogs more valuable.
i thank yous all for opening my eyes !!!!!!!!!!
quote ;and ofcourse a reputable breeder would not want a cur to be bred!!!
well why if they are a REPUTABLE breader are they selling them (if it was a calf or a lamb i know what they do with them !!!!!)its all to do with MONEY not LOVE
quote; If anything, the breeder has the right to feel tricked. You indicated no desire to breed, so she sold you a pet dog, at a pet price.
tricked £900
if ever time i got tricked i got £900 i would be happy,
btw your prices in the states are a bit more than here , this is the going rate over here for a pup,in fact its a bit dear ,could have got ones cheaper but not looking anything like this.anybody seen the film (beverly hills chahuahua) this could be chloes twin !
