My friend says he will throw up. but my dog never throws up when i feed him regualar food. Then, My Cousin said that his life will be two times at short as it was supposed to be? All i feed him is like hot dogs and bologna. I chop it up and put it in his dog food. & hes a Chihuahua and Pomeranian mix. <3

When he was younger he wouldent eat his dog food even as a puppy so we started adding beef hot dogs and bologna and he would he. Now hes a normal size dog as a puppy he was thin and wouldent eat. so we had no choice

if so have you had any problems with it?Just wondering because the pet shop required that I buy it with my new baby or the contract would be void so of course I bought it and when we get home she would not eat it and I also read a lot of horror stories online about bones and bugs being found in it and stories of dogs becoming hypoglycemic and even dying after eating science diet puppy food over an extended period of time
ok some of u are horrible people I did not buy this dog to be cool or popular I bought it to try and make a diffrence in its life I had even beed there to visit it 2 times before I made the choice to bring it home and try to give it some kind of life and as far as the dog food they simply required that I buy it they said nothing about makin her eat it and as far as I am concerned she may be some mutt runt but her life will be much better living in a house not a cage so you can all just stick it where the sun dont shine

I have a pomeranian, chihuahua, and english mastiff….. I try to feed the smalls dogs small breed food and the mastiff large breed dog food but the smalls ones prefer the mastiffs food. Will anything happen if they continue to chow down on dog food formulated for large dogs?

my mom’s chihuahua hasn’t been eating much lately, yet is acting normal. any advice on a good quality soft dog food to feed her?

Well my dog (5 yrs, chihuahua) just got surgery today on removing a lump in her throat (it was just extra fat) and had to go through a anesthesia (sp? its where they put you to sleep during the surgery then they wake you up after).
Now she is very weak and can barely move. Which is very weird…
When she first came in the house she was miserably stuck in a position unable to move…then a couple hours later she moved a bit… and an hour after that she slowly walked all around the house sucessfully…but now she is weak again and can’t move. The vet said it is totally normal on the first day for her not wanting to walk, and chihuahuas are always more dramatic. But she sometimes screams or tries to chase her scar when she walks. Is this normal?
She isn’t drinking water, which I am afraid of… but the vet also said it is normal for the first day… but she only had about 1 mL of water in the past 4 hours. How can I get her to have more?
The vet said she wouldn’t eat much either. She does eat some bread, but we try to feed my dog her own dog food and she refuses to eat it. Is this normal?

How long will this last? She despretley wants to lay down and rest her head, but since the lump of fat was on her throat she cant lower it much… she can move her neck fine side to side even up, just not down.

Please help!
Just heard my dog scream again… my mom is taking care of her right now, but my mom has to leave really soon and so I have to take care of her and I dont know how to feed her her own food, and water.
oh and she already went through one dose of pain killer stuff that the vet gvave us today, so she cant have more.
we called the vet already… she said just let her be until tomarrow, if she isnt calmer and a little better by tomarrow then bring her back.
Yeah ok no one answer anymore, its all good, she is eating her own food now and stuff, she is just kinda wobbly, which is normal

I have just adopted a Chihuahua and she was fed off the table most of the time. I want to feed her regular dog food and no table scraps but after trying countless of different brands of food wet and dry, she still refuses to eat. When she does eat its after her tummy starts to growl..she drinks plenty of water but even though she was very overweight when i got her it concerns me that she is not eating and she is noticablely losing weight..she will eat things like meatloaf and sausage off my plate and even pasta but when it comes to dog treats and dog food she just sniffs it and turns her head.what can i do to make her want the dog food..i don’t like feeding her table food leftovers? She is 7 years old.

I switched to this dog food about a month ago. I used to feed him Royal Canin but I switched to Innova because on a dog food rating website it said that it was better. So what do you think. Good food or bad?

I am just curious bc I am getting a chihuahua tomorrow; I have had one in the past and she didn’t like dog food at all so she just kept eating human food and got so fat. My mom is too nice and gave in all the time to her. Now I am getting my own dog; however, I want to give my dog something he will eat and stick with it. Please let me know how Purina Little Bites Indoor Complete Dog Food went for you. I know it’s never been been on a recall so that’s why I considered it. I appreciate any comments comments. She is about 1 year old and she is a very picky eater. She begs when I have food at the table, but I do not want to give her table food. She is a rescued dog and I have no idea what her previous owners fed her. She really does not like dog food, and I have tried almost every brand.

ok well i have a 11month old chihuahua and shes really picky with her food i put varieties of small breed doggy biscuits or even puppy can food and she just sniffs it and walks away. she has a few bites of the biscuits when shes really hungry like hasnt eaten in a day and walks away. so i tried putting chicken and some pork fat mixed with the doggy biscuits and she just picks out the meat and leaves the rest just there until it becomes off!! shes really skinny and refuses to eat.i take full responsibility of her getting a very bad habit so i stopped giving her treats from the table and everything so she can start eating her food!!ive stopped giving her table scraps when she was a little wee puppy so why isnt she eating her puppy food until now i try mixing milk in her doggy biscuits it does help but isnt good enough. she starts to scavenge in the rubbish bin and makes a mess!!i dont spoil her i love her to death but she would look way healthier if she would just eat her doggy biscuits or dog food i cant afford to buy her expensive meat.
Please how can i stop this very bad habit of hers and start making her eat doggy food!!

PS. please no time wasters dont really want to waste my time reading negative comments just want to know how i can stop this bad habit and make her eat what shes spose to eat. if you cant help with this question then you shouldnt be answering.

pamela i SAID i dont give her food scrap anymore forgoodness sake!!

and i dont mean i want my pup to become fat i want her to gain abit of weight when i stroke her all i can feel are her spines and ribs and that isnt really a doggy figure shes like a walking skeleton!!
yea i cut pieces of chicken neck for her to eat but all she does is take it to the corner and leave it there.
ill try putting some kitten food in her food but not alot.
