how did I do? (constructive criticisms only please)?
as some of you know I got a puppy for my birth day well he’s a Chihuahua and gets very cold but I didn’t want to spend that kind of money to buy dog clothes (so stinking expensive) so I went to the thrift store and bought a bunch of baby clothes and turned the legs, arms, and torso of the baby clothes into doggy shirts, p’s, hoodie’s, and a pup pouch (that was way to small so iv got to make another one) the pup pouch is so that I can zip him (its actually a bag with a hood on it to keep him warm but allowing me to carry him around outside without having to wrap him up in my coat and getting covered in little black dog hairs.) any ways these are the first things iv sewn in a very very very long time! so please be kind and let me know what can I do differently? and how can I do that? thanks!!!

Is my mom serious? We have enough going on as it is!?
She just bought a puppy! and im going to be 34 weeks tomorrow (Wendsay), its a little Chihuahua puppy, ive always wanted one, but Im pregnant, I could go in to labor anytime these next few weeks (im 16…) We’ve almost have the nursery done, but still! During these next few weeks, whose gonna care for this pup!? I have parenting classes, and yoga set till the last week before my due date! Its cute, but im pretty sure at this point and time we dont need one!
well uhm to the 2nd answer, i have to much crap going on in my life, and so does my mom, 2 jobs, and in the middle of school for nursing. I just feel as if i have to watch for it even though she bought it, i’ll be taking care of my baby everyday, (i take online school) i shouldnt have to watch after a puppy, ecspecially a PUPPY!
I just explained to her everything like how its not the time, but the pup named "Dolce" which my older sister picked out, is going to be moving in with my sister, till after all this meyham!
and for those who stalk me, yes, my sister did finally move on out! & yes! she finally talks to me

HELP! Should I buy a puppy from this breeder?
My dog, and best friend, passed away a week ago and I am planning on adding a new companion to my household. It has been pretty quiet and the silence is maddening; I need someone to love.
I have been researching breeds and have decided to get a Pomeranian. I am looking specifically for a male and AKC registered (I do not want a puppy mill pup!). I live in a small town and we rarely ever have pure breed Pomeranian puppies being sold, so I have looked to the bigger cities and I am dumbfounded.
I am trying to find a reputable breeder, but honestly I am quite nervous acquiring online. Its confusing and scary! The last thing I want is for someone to run off with my money. This is why I am looking for someone who is paypal verified.
This breeder is paypal verified, the puppies are AKC registered, they come with a 6 month hereditary health guarantee, and her contract stipulates that she does not cover parvo, coccidia, or giardia – actually most breeders do not cover this at all, even reputable ones!
Here is the link:
debspompoms.com – I am planning on reserving a male pom from her
Here is another link for another breed (long hair Chihuahua):
longcoat-chihuahuas.com – I am still thinking about this one
Which one do you prefer? Which one is more reputable in your eyes.
Which breed of puppy should I buy? (5 Breeds Listed)?
Today I went to a pet store and played with a Chug…half Chihuahua / half Pug. It looked mostly like a chihuahua and had the BEST temperament of a puppy I had ever seen. He just wanted to cuddle and kiss! I have adopted many dogs, and I am looking forward to actually having a small puppy. My choices are down to the following breeds, and I was wondering which is going to be: the best cuddle dog who loves kisses, doesn’t bite much, has good temperament, is a great lap dog, and loves to be carried around, since all my other dogs are big…
*Shiba Inu
*Chug
*Chihuahua
*Italian Greyhound
*Pocket Pomeranian (smaller size pom, and yes there is such a thing.)
I don’t want it to be prone to biting, I want it to be my baby, and I don’t care if it’s needy! Thanks for your input! Which one should I go with?
P.S – I have adopted 3 dogs that I love very much, and I will try to research my place of purchase as much as possible, but I am aware that all dogs need a home because once they are born, regardless of method, they need a home, so please just help me out with my question, I have already adopted three dogs and 3 cats (large home and yard), and I want to spoil myself with a brand new pup!
i bought a puppy and notice that the ikc certificates states (not to be bred)?
as the title says ! before we bought the puppy the breader said she didnt want to register the pup because of a lot of puppy farms and the risk of people knowing her address which could lead to theft .we told her we wernt going to breed the pup but thought that after parting with such a large amount of money we would like some security of paper work etc.she did register the pup for us and posted the cert to us after reading it have noticed the words (not to be bred under endorsements)
feel tricked !!! i know i told her we wernt going to breed the pup but who knows in the future what might happen .is ther nothing we can do ? it is a beauitfull smothe coat chihuahua in white ,very small and would have had very good protential but this just leaves me with a sour taste in the mouth. btw its the irish kennel club
any body any ideas
i know what yous are saying is right in a sence
but this pup was nearly £900 not just a £150 pup
with that type of money you dont want your hands tied behind your back if you know what i mean. i have no intention of breeding this pup at the minute but who knows what happens in the future ???
i do seem to have a lot to learn !!!
but sorry dont seem to get it !
what makes me any different than the breader i bought from ,for all yous know i could breed dogs too. yous seem to back the breader all the way !dont for get the breader had to start somware too, bought two pups ,reared them and had pups now selling them for money, do yous think they sell pups for any thing else other than for money ? dont think so,granted they love there dogs like the rest of us,somebody else said it might be because its a cur or runt,no got the pup checked over and it has show dog qualitys (its father was showing at crufts last week )(big dog show in england)and i didnt sign anything to say i wasnt going to bread the pup,as stated before ,i have no intention of breading this pup but it was got for my daughter who has an allergy to animal hair and with this dog having very little hair and very little hair loss she is grand with it .but things change along with circumstances.
put it like this ,if you bought a car and later after you got the tax book found out there was a problem with it (damaged, missing engine etc)
do you not think you would feel a little annoyed.
thats the way i feel ,it was more of a figure of speach about not breeding the pup, never thought it would show up in the certificate !!
as said before ,i have a lot to learn.
i think i know why the certificate is marked, not to be bred ??? COMPETITION,scarcety makes these wee dogs more valuable.
i thank yous all for opening my eyes !!!!!!!!!!
quote ;and ofcourse a reputable breeder would not want a cur to be bred!!!
well why if they are a REPUTABLE breader are they selling them (if it was a calf or a lamb i know what they do with them !!!!!)its all to do with MONEY not LOVE
quote; If anything, the breeder has the right to feel tricked. You indicated no desire to breed, so she sold you a pet dog, at a pet price.
tricked £900
if ever time i got tricked i got £900 i would be happy,
btw your prices in the states are a bit more than here , this is the going rate over here for a pup,in fact its a bit dear ,could have got ones cheaper but not looking anything like this.anybody seen the film (beverly hills chahuahua) this could be chloes twin !

i previously had a chihuahua with this "asthma" we took him to the vet and he gave us some meds to give the dog- they didnt help= and i had to put him down- because of age. we recently bought a min pin- and he has the same thing it seems. i dont want to take him to the dr if hes not gonna help- has anyone else had a pup with this? he wheezes and coughs for a few minutes( like he cant controle it) and then is fine- i feel so bad becuase i cant help him!!!! any suggestions are welcomed. please dont lecture me- thats not why im here. any home remedies or advice or simular situation is welcomed! thanks in advance
i should probably add- my chihuahua had a teeny tiny esophagus- and that was a main cause of his breathing issues when his whatever it is flared up. b4 we put him down he was having 4-6 attacks a day.
We have 3 dogs should i have gotten a puppy?
My bf said when we bought this house we could get another dog since our dogs (he has 2 and i have 1) are 6 yrs and older, we could get a pup. The neighbor were giving Chihuahua’s away and i got the smallest one for the kids christmas The lady said IF ur bf doesn’t want it you can bring it back. We said ok and took the pup home. Bf fell in love with it knowing we didn’t need another dog to feed. He named it and played with it . We had the pup for 3 weeks, when kids left for xmas and he and i got into a fight, he took the pup and give it away Lied to me& kids, They were hurt and upset now they want to go home and not stay with him they do not like him any more Now i have to choose between my bf and kids over him giving this pup away and not getting it back from his mom BF says its my fault for get’n a pup in the first place IS IT? or is it his for giving it away when the kids were with their dad for christmas OR is it his mom’s fault for not giving the pup back to my kids?
4-5 week old puppy, is this fine? ?
Okay, my family has had about 5 dogs in some point of time. But we’ve never had a super young puppy.
We bought a 4 or 5 week old Chihuahua/Miniature Pincher mix not knowing that 4 weeks is "too young".
Well, we bought that top brand powder milk and canned puppy food. We feed it powder milk in the morning and night and canned food in the afternoon time. It poos and pees just fine, no problems whatsoever, its very playful too. It has teeth already, that are pretty sharp too.
Now, my question is, people say the puppy is too young to be separated and weaned, and that it should be taken to the vet asap, but it is doing just fine, am i suppose to be worried still? It digests the food perfectly, and acts like a normal puppy, am i missing something?
Well please give me advice in a nice manner, leave the rude comments out.
Oh, and what else should i be expecting at this age of the pup?
*And we can’t contact the person who sold it to us, so i cant get any info from them.
We have a very old Chihuahua in addition to this new pup but the puppy wants to play and the old chichuahua wants to sleep or be grumpy. And we’re getting it shots as soon as it turns 8weeks (cause thats the earliest it can get it right?)
will my yorkies ever play together?
I recently bought a new 8wk old yorkiemale. my 1 yr old yorkie seems to avoid it and ignore it. will they eventually play or get along? the new pup does wonderfully with my 8 mos on chihuahua??
